A Plant Named Relief

On a Sunny morning,IMG_20130119_123431
There are fresh stems reaching,
Green leaves begin growing,
As mother earth takes its course,
By building a natural source,
Of magnificence,
Like the view to a hidden garden.

As I walk and stare,
Towards over there,
I ask God to bless that plant,
Just to stand,
For it delivers relief,
When I am in grief.

I’m intrigued by it,
By how it grew from little to big,
A seed into a leaf,
It truly encourages me,
To flourish underneath.

I’m intrigued by it,
By how it grew from little to big,
A seed into a leaf,
It truly encourages me,
To flourish underneath,
Through all the barriers I’ll seek,
Accomplishing challenges,
As this plant ‘relief’ did.
It has taught me,
If a plant can, then I will too succeed!
