Go, go, go… everybody wants them, everybody likes them. Can we keep them? Between visiting with members of our local faith community, sharing meals, getting some life skills, song practice and helping out with local programs and activities, they barely get any sleep.
Last Saturday we had the Power of the Principle seminar with Rev. Schanker. The GPA helped buy, prepare and serve the food for the almost 50 people who attended. They also spent time during the week doing community outreach in preparation for the seminar.
Investing in Community
This past Sunday they performed and led several lively songs for our Sunday Celebration. Some GPA members are also helping with the Sunday School. Tuesday night was a book/movie Meetup group where the topic was the recently released movie “Heaven is for Real”. They had a lively and heartfelt discussion about the spirit world and learned a little about running a small group meeting.

Last night they enjoyed the company of our local elementary age youth, had a pizza party and went to the movies. There’s more fun to come as this is only week 2 of Generation Peace Academy’s adventure in Manchester with the Faith Fusion community. Where will they go and what will they do next? Hopefully they’ll have some time to write about their experiences here.
