This past weekend many young Unificationists gathered at Geneva Point Center for our annual Camp Cleanup. By helping Geneva Point Center with Spring cleaning and preparing for the opening of their camp season, we are able to reduce the cost of holding Camp Aurora there. Our camper fees would be significantly higher if we didn’t do this each year.
Camp Cleanup is Fun Service
It is always an enjoyable time of hard work and sharing as brothers and sisters. Here are a few photos taken by Madison Dixon, and his comment about the experience:
“The Geneva Point Center staff are always amazed at how quickly and how well we do the jobs assigned, and with the energy, enthusiasm, and teamwork displayed.”
“The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.” ― Mahatma Gandhi
“Everybody can be great…because anybody can serve. You don’t have to have a college degree to serve. You don’t have to make your subject and verb agree to serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love.” ― Martin Luther King Jr.
“I slept and dreamt that life was joy. I awoke and saw that life was service. I acted and behold, service was joy.” ― Rabindranath Tagore
Fifth Sunday is Family Day
Some months have five Sunday’s and at Faith Fusion we use this opportunity to celebrate as families. We encourage our local church community members to spend time with their family doing fun activities and relaxing in each other’s company. God’s love is fully manifested in the four realms of heart that exist within the family. The church is a community of families and can be an extension of family love, but each unique family is a school of love where God can dwell in the unity of our hearts.
