“A mother is not a person to lean on, but a person to make leaning unnecessary.” – Dorothy Canfield Fisher

“Most mothers are instinctive philosophers.” – Harriet Beecher Stowe

“The mother’s heart is the child’s school-room.” – Henry Ward Beecher

“Of all the rights of women, the greatest is to be a mother.” – Lin Yutang

“Mothers are like glue. Even when you can’t see them, they’re still holding the family together.” – Susan Gale

It’s so easy to take our mothers for granted, they are always there. Sometimes they annoy us, often we don’t understand them and wish they would leave us alone. But if she knows the value of her role, she doesn’t care what you think. She persists in her unwavering concern for your wellbeing and happiness, and the success of her family as a vital part of the community and world.

The Heart of a Mother

“A mother’s love is everything. It is what brings a child into this world. It is what molds their entire being. When a mother sees her child in danger, she is literally capable of anything. Mothers have lifted cars off of their children, and destroyed entire dynasties. A mother’s love is the strongest energy known to man.” – Jamie McGuire

“When you are a mother you are never really alone in your thoughts. A mother always thinks twice, once for herself and once for her child.” – Sophia Loren

Those who didn’t have the benefit of their mother’s care, for any reason, feel the loss deeply. But those who had a mom who cared and did her best, yet they remain critical or ungrateful – they have lost part of their own soul.

The Heart of God

“God could not be everywhere, and therefore he made mothers.” – Rudyard Kipling

This post is lovingly dedicated to all mom’s everywhere, and grandmas and mothers-to-be as well.
