Power of the Principle – New Series

The Creating Happiness PrinciplePOP plain web

An atheist begins to believe in the possibility of a “Creator” of this world. A Catholic finds clear answers to the questions they were not encouraged to ask in catechism class. Buddhists, Hindus, Muslims, Jews and Christians are empowered to work on a peace project together.

What Power is This?

What inspires people and gives them hope? For most people it’s knowing that “I” matter, that there is a purpose that makes sense, a good reason for being alive, and a way to fulfill our dreams. Human beings are hardwired to be inspired by authentic love and genuine goodness. Even for people who don’t believe in an all powerful Creator, these things are motivation and inspiration for life.

POP Seminar

Today I attended the Power of the Principle seminar here in Manchester, NH, presented by Phillip Shankar. Although I’ve studied the Divine Principle in depth over the past 36 years, I wanted to attend this seminar with fresh eyes and ears in order to rediscover that power that first excited me so long ago. Pastor Heather and I have been planning to launch a new blog series called “The Creating Happiness Principle”, and this seminar seems like a fitting start.

happiness & harmonyEveryone wants to be happy but we live in a world full of suffering, all kinds of suffering. You can ignore the suffering of others and run after your own pleasure, but eventually everyone has problems of some sort. Even if you are a saint with a perfect attitude, living in bliss 99% of the time – can you truly be happy when others are hurting? We would all like to see better solutions for the problems in this world.

36 years ago my hope was renewed in humanity because I found the Divine Principle. I would not be alive today if I had not found it because I was unknowingly wandering down a self-destructive path. I have a loving family that I cherish deeply because I actively pursued the power of the principle in my life. I’ve been able to fulfill most of my hopes and dreams (I’m still working on some of them) because I followed this path.

Struggle is normal and sharing it can be helpful.

Don’t get me wrong, that doesn’t mean I’ve always been happy or never had any problems. Yeah, I’ve suffered, struggled, and had plenty of troubles in my life, but the power of the Divine Principle always gets me through it, and I’ve become a better person in the process. We’d like to share some of that power in this new blog series.

We’d also like to hear from you, our readers. better world webWe’re going to delve into the value of specific points of the Divine Principle, so if it helps you, please let us know. You can create a life you love, a life of happiness for yourself and others, with the power of the Divine Principle.
